Senior Transportation Engineer (1707082) $85k - $110k per year Sugar Grove, IL Full Time; Direct Hire Position Overview A growing engineering services firm in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to support a variety of transportation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Key Responsibilities Participate on project teams for a variety of transportation projects Provide support and/or lead planning, design, and reporting efforts Oversee construction activities on transportation projects Manage construction operations and ensure project compliance Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering 5 to 15 years of experience in transportation projects including roadway rehabilitation, reconstruction, intersection and traffic signal design, traffic studies, and shared use path projects Familiarity with IDOT standards and procedures, especially Phase I / Phase II design and MFT requirements Experience with MicroStation and traffic modeling software such as Highway Capacity Software or Synchro is a plus Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or willingness to obtain P.T.O.E. license or ability to obtain within one year is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license Upon Applying: You'll likely receive a chatbot with basic questions, then upon receiving your timely answers it's possible that you'll receive additional outreach of emails, texts and/or telephone calls from our recruiting firm if you're being considered for this or another similar position.
