As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled within one of America's most culturally rich cities, your role transcends traditional therapy - it's about igniting potential, restoring confidence, and cultivating the connections that truly matter. Description Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized tests and observational techniques. Create individualized treatment plans that support both immediate goals and the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges of your patients. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation. Engage with interdisciplinary teams-physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families-to design cohesive, patient-centered care approaches. Facilitate education for patients and their families to bolster therapeutic progress beyond the clinical environment. Offer sporadic inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring comprehensive continuity of care. Keep precise records in compliance with regulatory and organizational guidelines. Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment for various age groups, demonstrating a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Adaptability in therapy approaches to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic needs of clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to make informed clinical decisions. Familiarity with electronic medical records and compliant documentation practices. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and expertise. Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life harmony and accommodate varied caseloads. Chances to center your practice on pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatric care. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits. Comprehensive healthcare package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Financial support for continuing education and professional development. A nurturing environment that values collaboration and a commitment to high-quality care and lifelong learning. A Journey that Inspires You - and Those You Serve In this pivotal role, your impact extends beyond mere therapy sessions - you will be part of a mission-driven community that values each interaction and conversation. Here, every patient story matters, and we trust you to contribute to the narrative around each individual journey of healing and discovery. Your team will mirror a family, celebrating victories together and supporting one another in collaboration. In this collaborative spirit, the power of connection becomes evident, enriching lives through understanding and communication.
