Description Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standard evaluations and observational methodologies. Create individualized therapy plans tailored to address immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Engage in direct speech therapy focused on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care plans. Educate patients and their families, enabling them to support therapeutic progress outside the clinic. Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey. Uphold precise and timely records that adhere to all relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations. Remain engaged with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and peer networking. Education Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications Necessary state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
