API Inspector

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented API Inspector to join our integrity management team in Louisville. This role is specifically focused on the optimization of piping assets. You will be responsible for evaluating existing piping circuits, establishing new inspection protocols for unmapped systems, and leveraging data within our Plant Condition Management Software (PCMS) to mitigate risk and ensure mechanical integrity. Key Responsibilities Circuit Optimization: Review current piping circuits to streamline and improve the efficiency of the inspection program. Eliminate redundant inspection points and ensure code compliance. System Mapping: Identify and map out previously unestablished piping circuits. Develop comprehensive inspection protocols for these systems from the ground up. Data Analysis (PCMS): Deep-dive into PCMS data to identify trends, address areas of concern (such as localized corrosion or high-rate thinning), and ensure data accuracy. Maintenance Prioritization: Review the backlog of overdue piping repairs. Assist engineering and operations teams in prioritizing repairs based on risk, remaining life, and process criticality. Field Inspection: Perform visual and non-destructive examinations (NDE) as required to verify the condition of piping systems.
