Description Position Summary The SVP, IT Development (Sales & Acquisition Engineering) is responsible for technology modernization and capability engineering with an eye on the future. SVP, IT Development (Sales & Acquisition Engineering) is expected to build strong relationships within IT and other department leaders to drive the modernization and transformation agenda. This position is instrumental in meeting a company’s strategic goals. Essential Job Functions Build and manage a team of software engineers focusing on technology modernization and re-engineering of Bank’s IT systems Provide solution conceptual design to projects based on architecture standards, assertions/guidelines, and usage patterns ensuring security, scalability and supportability. Oversee the engineering function during evaluation of concepts including technical risks, architecture, dependencies and technical aspect of incubation plan to build and launch into market. Ability to implement on-prem, cloud-based & hybrid implementation strategies for responsive web and mobile applications and lay the foundation to deliver functional prototypes in weeks not months. Support IT leadership functions including annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, presentations and continuous improvement. REST based microservice APIs and micro-frontends along with a deep understanding of DevOps & CI/CD. High proficiency with cloud services (e.g.: AWS, GCP) and ability to build, deploy and scale hybrid-infrastructure platforms. Proficiency with JS frameworks (e.g.: React, Angular, NodeJS), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g.: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Elastic), Object oriented development (e.g.: Java, Node.js, or .NET/C#). Forecast and manage finances for large IT programs Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry Actively promotes the mission of the company within the organization Performs other duties as assigned Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering or related field 12-15 years progressive Information Technology experience; 5 or more years management and strategic experience in a Financial Services organization. 5 or more years of experience with public cloud providers 10+ years of experience building technology solutions in Sales and Acquisition domain Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills Ability to collaborate effectively and follow up ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results. Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity. Preferred MBA/MS in a related field preferred Understanding and technical knowledge of Underwriting and Credit & Fraud Risk Understanding and technical knowledge of Bureau functions and Third-Party Providers in Credit Risk domain. Understanding of Credit Lines and Pricing in Acquisition domain Understanding of Solicitation and Pre-Approved processes in marketing domains Understanding Offers (Acquisition / Customer Line Increase) in acquisitions and marketing domains.
