Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Junior Secondary Market Analyst to join our team located in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This is an entry level role to support daily lock desk and secondary operations activities. What you'll be doing Reviewing and accepting rate lock submissions; confirming pricing, product eligibility, and completeness using internal systems and PPE/scenario tools. Ensuring lock data accuracy (product, price, loan program, dates, compensation, and required fields). Processing and documenting lock changes including extensions, relocks, cancellations, and pricing adjustments, ensuring accurate terms and audit-ready notes. Distributing lock confirmations and communicating lock status and changes to internal partners. Processing best effort locks and state agency/bond program locks through investor websites/portals. Validating guideline eligibility and troubleshooting routine issues; escalating exceptions as needed. Maintaining investor pipelines and keeping loan lock status current and accurate. Generating daily lock and pipeline reports; reconciling discrepancies and correct errors promptly. Responding to routine phone/email inquiries from Sales and Operations with professionalism and urgency. Serving as a resource for basic lock/secondary workflow questions; partnering effectively with Underwriting, Closing and Funding. Performing other duties as assigned. What you'll bring 0-2 years of experience in mortgage lending, banking operations, financial services operations, or a related field (mortgage exposure strongly preferred) Familiarity with a mortgage LOS and/or PPE/lock desk platform preferred Understanding basic mortgage products (Conventional, FHA/VA/USDA, bond/state agency programs) preferred Prior experience supporting a lock desk, secondary marketing team, or investor delivery workflow preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ability to learn new systems quickly Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, pricing, and time-sensitive transactions Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset for internal partners Perks Atlantic Bay offers a dynamic benefits package that includes a competitive base salary, eligibility for monthly bonuses, health insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid volunteer time and your birthday off with pay!
