Position Type: Recreation/Lifeguards Date Posted: 12/23/2025 Location: Recreation VACANCY NOTICE Town of New Fairfield POSITION: LIFEGUARDS (Seasonal)DEPARTMENT: Recreation GENERAL DUTIES: Guards are directly responsible for the personal safety of all patrons while in the Town Park. Enforces all rules and regulations of the park; responsible for maintaining a clean safe environment at the Town Park when not on duty. Reports directly to the Waterfront Director. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Red Cross Lifeguard & Waterfront Certification required. CPR & First Aid Certification required. Current Certifications must be uploaded to application. Must be at least 16 years old. Experience as a lifeguard preferred but will train qualified candidates. Must be available to work weekends starting Memorial Day through June and then daily through Labor Day.
