Are you living your life's work?Entity: Corporate ServicesDepartment: Corporate Revenue CycleLocation: 150 Monument Road Bala Cynwyd, Pa 19004Hours: Hybrid, M-F, 7:30am/8:30am to 4:00pm / 5:00pmThe Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for assessing key opportunities and assisting with implementing effective revenue cycle solutions. This position assists in efforts to improve revenue cycle initiatives by strategically planning, directing, and coordinating activities to help revenue cycle staff with their business revenue operations, and clinical documentation and technical needs through assessments and interventions. This position will perform a variety of tasks; independently leading projects, managing the resolution of HB and PB Map's related WQ issues, identifying areas of improvement and education opportunities within revenue cycle and working collaboratively as a team member.Accountabilities Responsible for monitoring and working HB and PB revenue cycle workqueues to ensure resolution of accounts are occurring in a timely manner. Reports, investigates, and assists in resolution of significant revenue cycle metrics variances identified through continuous monitoring reports. Assists with coordinating Revenue Cycle Assessments throughout organization collaborating with departments to implement leading performance improvement plans. Oversees critical revenue cycle implementation projects involving completing revenue cycle assessments by reviewing current operations, conducting key interviews and reviewing the age trial balance, rejections, denial reporting, charge processing and reconciliation reports to identify high value opportunities for improvement. Reviews and assesses supporting analysis and calculations for revenue cycle month-end review. Prepares root cause analysis for both Operations and Revenue reporting metrics at the department level for quarterly finance review. Provides assistance to department management throughout CPUP/HUP in assessing and interpreting departmental statistical data. Works closely with Finance, and Managed Care to communicate major changes and proposed changes to department processes. Reports, investigates, and assists in resolution of significant revenue cycle metrics variances identified through continuous monitoring reports. Coordinates front, middle and back end analytics. Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization Minimum RequirementsRequired Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree And 2+ years Revenue cycle experience Or H.S. Diploma/GED And 7+ years Revenue cycle experience. General working knowledge/previous exposure of healthcare environments and auditing concepts Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications AAHAM Certification is preferred Required Skills and Abilities Experience with Epic or another Electronic Medical Records application.
