THE JOB: As an Plant Engineer at MGM Springfield, you will have the critical responsibility of conducting predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, which includes installing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the building. This role not only provides hands-on experience but also opens doors for further professional development and specialization within the HVAC field. THE STARTING RATE: $39.04 per hour THE DAY-TO-DAY: Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished Maintain and repair of HVAC, minor electrical, mechanical, minor plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, boilers and associated equipment Cleans HVAC&R coils and duct work as necessary Inspects and calibrate HVAC&R systems as needed Inspects and measures building systems to determine proper air flow Performs of all corrective and preventive maintenance duties related to HVAC systems. Keep all work areas, HVAC storage, and equipment clean, orderly and free of all debris Operate equipment used in the maintenance of conventions facilities such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and other maintenance equipment. Working knowledge of control programs and software including but not limited to the facility lighting control system, building management control system and ice plant refrigeration system Per EPA regulations, maintain refrigerant log to include the following: ,employee name, date, reason for loss or gain of refrigerant, equipment serviced, corrective action taken and type and amount of refrigerant THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Has a high school diploma, GED or equivalent Has 2+ years of prior relevant experience in general maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC or related building systems Has specialized training in the building maintenance of HVAC or related building systems THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Healthcare, financial and time off benefits Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more. Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage. Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
