Job Description: The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role in designing and developing next-generation electronic trading systems. This is a hands-on, technical leadership position focused on building scalable, resilient, and high-performance trading infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders-to drive innovation in a mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert for applications enabling electronic trading capabilities. Gain deep expertise in the electronic trading domain, including brokerage operations. Act as the bridge between business and technology, representing development teams in stakeholder discussions. Analyze and communicate application architecture and source code to both technical and non-technical audiences. Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate code understanding and documentation. Design and maintain architectural diagrams and system workflows. Perform data analysis using KDB/Q and SQL, interpreting large datasets to diagnose system behavior and performance. Lead system design efforts, translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications. Manage work breakdown (JIRA epics, stories) and coordinate with developers and QA teams. Facilitate cross-team discussions on technical initiatives and priorities. Conduct UAT using available testing tools and ensure quality delivery. Provide production and non-production support, responding to inquiries from business support teams. The Expertise You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent. 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst with project management responsibilities. Prior hands-on software development experience. Strong background in complex distributed systems, ideally trading platforms. Proficiency with SDLC tools (JIRA, Confluence, JIRA Align) and collaboration tools (Miro). Skilled in creating architecture diagrams using Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools. Solid experience in data modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and command-line utilities. Knowledge of cloud architectures and deployments, especially AWS. Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy). Capital Markets or Brokerage systems experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of FIX protocol, FIX engines, and KDB+/Q is a strong plus. Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Self-driven and innovative, with comfort engaging senior leadership. Willingness to support production systems and application releases, including occasional weekend support. The base salary range for this position is $89,000-216,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
