The opportunity:We have an opportunity for an Industrial Electrician with Mechanical skills at our Conway AR folding carton facility. The Individual will be responsible for safely providing maintenance support to our facility. Qualified candidates will utilize both excellent electrical and mechanical skills and knowledge in electrical/electronics (PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics, and troubleshooting) in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics. Candidate will work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing constraints as well as being engaged in the preventative maintenance processes.How you will impact Smurfit WestRock:/u2022 Effectively and efficiently work with various computer applications to maintain records and trouble shoot systems/u2022 Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and drive lines./u2022 Basic motor control troubleshooting, repair and maintenance./u2022 Strong electrical experience (low voltage to 480V) with solid hand on mechanical background/u2022 Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals/u2022 Operate standard shop equipment/u2022 Work with electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, servomotors, drives, and controls, as well as process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches, proximity sensors, etc.)/u2022 Troubleshooting PLC/u2019s/u2022 Work on AC and DC drives in fan, pump, and conveyor applicationsWhat you need to succeed:/u2022 Minimum 3 years Electrical experience (preferred)/u2022 Computer literate and able to be effective and efficient with various computer applications/u2022 Good written and verbal communication skills/u2022 Able to effectively work within a team environment/u2022 Able to lift up to 50 pounds/u2022 Willing and able to work varying shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.
