Weld TechnicianRESPONSIBLITIES: Set-up weld fixtures or assemblies assigned to production operators in accordance with MIOSHA standards & company procedures Troubleshoot equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel Reteaches weld points and robotic moves as needed to improve or repair welding process Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances Changes MIG tips and wire replacement Responsible for assigned PM's on cell & equipment and document Reports equipment failures and unusual sounds or actions while operating equipment Set-up and program new jobs on initial run; completes proper paperwork and turns into supervisor Assist engineering personnel in testing and evaluating welding equipment, metals, and alloys Evaluates data & conducts experiments to develop application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures, or practices. Performs weld testing on parts as required Supports CI activities as required Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.) QUALIFICATIONS: Automotive manufacturing experience required Fanuc or Motoman robot experience preferred Flexible to work on all shifts • PAY AND SHIFT TIMES: Pay is based on experience Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm Overtime is based on customer demand This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Maintenance team and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Manager.
