Job Description: The Materials / Parts Engineer is responsible for coordinating materials, inventory control, logistics, and procurement activities to support engineering and operational workflows. This role ensures accurate tracking of parts and components, maintains inventory integrity, supports shipping and receiving processes, and ensures compliance with quality and traceability requirements. The position also assists with calibration coordination, material readiness for builds and tests, and operational efficiency improvements. Responsibilities: Track incoming parts, components, and deliveries. llocate and receive materials into inventory systems. Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels. Perform cycle counts and reconciliation activities. Identify shortages, discrepancies, and inventory risks. Manage shipping and receiving processes. Verify packing slips against purchase orders or requests. Inspect shipments for damage and resolve issues. Coordinate outbound shipments for repairs, calibration, and returns. Maintain shipping and tracking documentation. Initiate purchasing activities and support procurement workflows. Track open orders and delivery status. Coordinate with sourcing teams and vendors regarding procurement activities. Support returns, replacements, and related logistics activities. Label and maintain part identification and traceability. Maintain segregation of accepted, uninspected, and nonconforming materials. Support incoming inspection workflows. Maintain certifications and material documentation. Support audit and compliance readiness. Initiate hardware and material workflows. Track material movement through build and testing lifecycles. Maintain visibility of material usage and allocation. Track calibration due dates for measurement and test equipment. Coordinate shipments to and from calibration vendors. Maintain calibration records and certificates. Segregate expired or out-of-calibration equipment. Stage parts for scheduled builds and testing activities. Coordinate material readiness with laboratory and testing teams. Support operational efficiency by reducing time spent locating materials. Requirement/Must Have: Experience in material coordination, procurement, quality, supply chain, or a related field. Familiarity with purchasing or procurement systems such as ERP platforms. Understanding of inventory control and material traceability. Strong organizational and tracking skills. Proficiency with office productivity tools. bility to work cross-functionally in a technical environment. Should Have: Background in quality systems or regulated environments. Experience supporting engineering or laboratory operations. Familiarity with calibration coordination and equipment tracking. Skills: Inventory management. Materials coordination.
