Class B Shop Mechanic

We are looking for a Class B mechanic that is self motivated and works well with others. Must be able to identify problems with automotive vehicles as well as class 7-8 trucks. We are a fleet of 60+ vehicles and daily duties can range from changing tires to changing head gaskets. General Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical problems on fleet vehicles Make service calls on broken down trucks Perform maintenance on light/medium duty and heavy-duty class trucks Complete paperwork in a timely manner Keep a clean workspace Perform tasks given by shop manager Company Benefits: Competitive salary 401k with company match program Medical-Dental-Vision-Life Insurance Short and Long Term Disability Qualifications: Must have a valid drivers license (Class A is a plus but not necessary) Must have own tools Excellent troubleshooting skills and eye for detail Ability to work independently and efficiently in a reasonable amount of time Minimum of 1 year experience in a technician position and knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines Ability to perform inspections with limited supervision in the following heavy truck or automotive systems: suspensions and steering, general engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, drive train, diesel emissions, hydraulics
