Position Title: Controller The Controller position plays a crucial role in overseeing all accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow management, and small business operations. The Controller will manage the monthly close process, monitor cash flow, and conduct job cost analysis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a laid-back environment and be adaptable to the unique processes of the company. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position. Controller Responsibilities: Manage all accounting functions using Sage 300 CRE Oversee monthly close, cash flow monitoring, and job cost analysis Process and manage bi-weekly payroll using Paycor, including certified payroll when required Reconcile payroll data between Paycor and Sage Maintain monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) schedules for revenue and profit recognition Prepare general ledger reconciliations and support monthly financial reporting Assist the CFO with monthly financial statements and budget variance analysis Oversee daily cash management and Positive Pay banking processes Prepare and file required government reports Coordinate with outside tax preparers and manage estimated tax payments and shareholder distributions Work with external auditors on year-end financial reviews and insurance audits Oversee overhead expense processing and company disbursements Support employee benefits administration, risk management, and IT oversight Controller Requirements: 10+ years of experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or CFO Strong understanding of P&L statements, cash flow, and small business operations Bachelor's degree required, ideally in accounting Proficiency in Word and Outlook Experience with accounting software similar to Sage is preferred Construction industry experience is preferred An MBA and/or CPA is a plus Sage 300 CRE experience is preferred Benefits: Medical Insurance: The company pays 75% of the premium Voluntary Dental & Vision: Available Benefits Eligibility: After 60 days 401(k): 3% safe harbor company contribution, no waiting period PTO (Year 1): Typically 10 days (negotiable) Sick Time: 5 days Gym membership Relaxed and flexible work schedule If you are a Controller looking to take the next step in your career, apply now! #LI-AG1
