Maintenance Mechanic: 3rd shift

Salary Range: $33.34 To $33.34 HourlyEast Side Jersey Dairy O'Fallon/Prairie Farms is looking for an EXPERIENCED Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support production in a food manufacturing and packaging facility. Position also includes maintaining plant utilities such as boiler, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, anhydrous ammonia system, building and grounds maintenance, etc... Shift: Third Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11:30pm-8:00am Location: O'Fallon, Illinois Job Type: Full-time with shift differential; 90 day probationary period Union: District NO.9, International Association of Machinist and Aerospace workers; Must join union after 30 days Pay: $33.34/hr plus shift differential Benefits offered: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Long Term Disability, Short term Disability, and Life InsuranceDuties: Good interpersonal skills are a must. Diagnose mechanical problems quickly and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary. Maintenance on processing equipment, pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installation of equipment. Adjust and repair packaging equipment as needed. Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Interface with Operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant reliability. Work with both Outside Contractors and Plant Operations to ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. Other responsibilities as requested. Education Experience: 2+ Years relevant Maintenance experience required Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge is a plus Experience with PLCs and ammonia refrigeration preferred Qualifications/Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull products weighing up to fifty pounds out of confined spaces and occasionally having to lift product overhead. Ability to stand, kneel climb ladders, and other physical requirements as needed. Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test, alcohol screening, and physical exam.
