Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide support during maternity leave coverage in a school setting in Edison, NJ. This contract position will serve students primarily in grades 5 and 6, with additional responsibilities supporting self-contained students with multiple disabilities in grades 3 through 8 within the same building. Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students. Provide direct therapy services tailored to meet the needs of students with diverse communication disorders. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and integration. Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines. Support students with multiple disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. Qualifications and Experience: Current SLP licensure with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Experience working in school environments, particularly with pediatric populations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Ability to adapt therapy approaches to students with various disabilities. Familiarity with documentation and educational requirements for school-based services. Schedule and Location: Contract position covering maternity leave from April 27 to June 24 and again from September 3 to November 20. School day schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Assignment located in Edison, New Jersey.
