To further strengthen our compliance and GREEN IMPACT Plan here in North America we are seeking a skilled intern to join our team. What You'll Do: As an Environmental Affairs Intern, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our compliance and sustainability goals through research, data accuracy, reporting and process development. This role will allow you to grow your experience in efficiency and process development surrounding all areas of environmental affairs. We are looking for a high energy level, motivated individual to help the team meet our internal customer needs while growing expertise in both compliance and sustainability topics for an electronics manufacturer. Research and Compliance Support Conduct research on environmental regulations and compliance requirements (e.g. monitoring new laws, standards) to ensure the team stays up-to-date. Assist with regulatory tracking and help develop policy or compliance recommendations based on findings. Data Analysis Collect, verify, and analyze environmental performance data (such as energy usage, emissions, or waste metrics) to support sustainability projects. Use analytical tools to identify trends and insights, helping to pinpoint efficiency opportunities or potential risks. Prepare clear reports and visual presentations of environmental metrics and project outcomes for internal stakeholders. Help translate data findings into actionable recommendations, and collaborate with team members (and other departments as needed) to implement solutions. Procedure Development Assist in developing and documenting internal processes and standard operating procedures to improve team efficiency and ensure consistent compliance practices. This includes drafting or updating procedural documents and workflow guidelines. Program Requirement(s): Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree throughout the entirety of the internship. QualificationsWhat You'll Bring: Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Policy or related field. Academic focus on environmental policy or management is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to document processes clearly and contribute to policy or report writing. Should be able to communicate findings and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI (or similar business intelligence software) is required. Experience creating charts or dashboards to communicate data effectively is highly valued. Ability to collaborate with and across multiple internal and external entities/teams and skill-sets Preferred Skills and Experience: Policy/Procedure Development Experience: Prior experience or coursework involving the development of organizational policies or writing standard operating procedures is a strong plus. For example, experience drafting policy guidelines or process documentation in a class project, internship, or work setting will be beneficial. Sustainability Frameworks: Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks or environmental management standards is preferred. Experience with greenhouse gas accounting (e.g. knowledge of the GHG Protocol for emissions) or participation in corporate sustainability reporting is advantageous. Hourly Range: $17-$38 The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
