Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 Hourly Location : City of Maplewood, MN Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal Job Number: 20260010 Department: Public Works Division: Parks & Natural Resources Opening Date: 02/27/2026 Description Work outdoors in Maplewood. Assists full-time park maintenance staff with the day-to-day operations of the Parks and Natural Resources Division. Performs general grounds maintenance duties in the areas of park maintenance including operating city vehicles and equipment. Pay Range is $19-$22/hour. Works under the general supervision of the Parks Manager and Parks Crew Chief. May also receive direction from full-time staff in the field. SCHEDULE: Seasonal position starting in late May or early June (less than six months), Monday - Friday, 6:30am-2:30pm. May include some weekend hours. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine tasks such as weeding, raking, watering, hand mowing, edging, shoveling, litter pick-up, cleaning and repairing trails, grounds and other public facilities; prepare and maintain baseball fields. Operates a range of small powered and specialized equipment. Provides support for special events. May perform duties of similar complexity in other maintenance areas as required or assigned.
