Med-Surg Nurse (RN) in Clanton, AL

A registered nurse with med/surg tele experience is needed for a contract position in Clanton, AL. This role is based on the 3 East floor of a well-equipped 51-bed hospital, caring for medical, surgical, orthopedic, and telemetry patients. The shift schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15) with 36 guaranteed hours weekly and every other weekend off, offering a balanced work-life structure. No call duties are required. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care for med/surg and telemetry patients. Manage patient monitoring using telemetry, IV pumps, and Bipap equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record. Float within like units, including facilities within a 25-mile radius, as needed. Qualifications & Experience: Active RN license with at least 2 years of clinical experience. Current BLS and NIHSS (AHA) certifications are required. Proven ability to handle a 1:6 patient ratio in med/surg, ortho, and telemetry settings. Flexibility to float and work night shifts. Professional demeanor with adherence to dress code policies (navy scrubs; no nail polish).
