Part-Time Multi-Services Program Specialist REPORTS TO: Housing Manager SUMMARY The Puerto Rican Action Board (PRAB) is a comprehensive human services organization based in Middlesex County, New Jersey. We are the primary institution that provides diverse bilingual/multicultural services to the entire Central New Jersey community. Each year, we serve approximately 25,000 people in the region. Our mission is to equip diverse individuals and families in Central New Jersey to achieve personal, family, and community development. Through our innovative early childhood, youth, family, and community programs, individuals and families access the tools and resources they need to grow into productive, self-sufficient people. The Multi-Service Program Specialist area is energetic, organized, and flexible with a deep commitment to PRAB's vision and mission, combined with empathy for its clients and staff, dedication to high-quality service delivery, and a strong track record of getting exceptional results. The Multi-Service Program Specialist is a proven planner, producer, and problem solver, with experience operating an intake/outreach program, preferably within the non-profit sector. S/he has the courage of conviction with the ability to serve as a passionate spokesperson and bridge builder. RESPONSIBILITIESPROGRAM SERVICE DELIVERY Day to day case management and support Responsible for day to day case management of individuals and/or families seeking a variety of services through our Multi-Service, Food Pantry, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of program service delivery. Conducts one-on-one case management services to support the needs of families who meet income guidelines as required by our current funding sources. Conducts periodical follow-up on all clients served on a monthly and quarterly basis. Enters all required information into our agency's database system to track levels of services, national performance indicators and outcomes for reporting purposes. Works closely with program staff across different programs, including volunteers and interns as needed. In collaboration with the Manager, maintains relationships and partnerships with Multi-Service-related funders, vendors, community organizations, government agencies, businesses, to increase access to these services onsite in support of the families we serve. This position will also be required to provide coverage to the front desk client liaison and the customer care representatives at the call center in a rotating schedule as needed for lunch coverage, vacations and/or unexpected time off. Works closely with the Manager and/or Senior Director to ensure Multi-Service compliance with all federal, state, county, and city requirements as governmental agencies and other compliance entities related to Multi-Service programs. Maintain awareness of new community resources, trends and developments as well as needs to effectively provide one-on-one support to individuals and families seeking services through the Multi-Service program. Ensure confidentiality of records and information, and discretion in information sharing, as per policies. Program Operations When appropriate and in collaboration with the Manager, supports PRAB's social media content in Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Promote linkages and coordinate referral agreements with other social service providers Verify all work meets technical requirements and quality objectives set forth by state guidelines Assist in the delivery of programs ensure delivery of qualitative and quantitative goals and outcomes Conducts outreach to residents in Middlesex county, and enrollment into PRAB programs Works directly with client application processing, including referrals from inter-agency programs and other agencies Assess and optimize relationships with program participants for service delivery & marketing Maintain and audit program files, claims, paperwork Maintain program database and all required reporting systems Assist in the development of programs evaluations and proposals Collaborate with other staff on program events and special project General Represent PRAB in external meetings and events, and engage community and program participants as needed Conduct, attend, and participate in internal meetings to maintain and improve professional competence as appropriate for this position Attend external workshops and in-service training provided by funders, etc. to support professional development and service delivery efforts. Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual MS/Outreach progress reports (both internal and external) Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field or Relevant documented work experience may be substituted for academic requirements on a year for year basis. Bilingual proficency in English and Spanish is required for this position due to regular interaction with Spanish-speaking clients.
