Event Coordinator

Description At Kona Ice, an Event Coordinator is a dual-role professional responsible for both the logistical office-based planning of events and the hands-on execution of those events in the community. This role focuses on booking, scheduling, and delivering the "Kona Experience". Core Responsibilities: Event Booking & Scheduling: Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media to provide pricing and book events for schools, corporate gatherings, and festivals. Logistics Management: Coordinate event details, including staffing, equipment setup, and tracking event performance metrics in software like Kona OS. On-Site Execution: If needed, safely drive the Kona Ice Entertainment Vehicle (KEV) to events, set up the tropical vibe with music, and serve shaved ice to large groups. Customer Engagement: Build lasting relationships with community partners (e.g., daycare directors, sports coaches) and handle on-site customer service professionally. Operational Maintenance: Manage "opening and closing" procedures, including cash handling, inventory restocking, and maintaining the highest sanitation standards for the truck. Requirements Must be detail oriented, with a background in event planning, customer service, or hospitality. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proficiency with basic tools like Gmail, Excel, Word and Google Sheets; experience with scheduling software is a plus.
