Refrigeration Technician

HiFyve is hiring a Refrigeration Technician in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry in Joplin, MO!Pay: $36.00-$37.75/hour (Night Shift) Shift: Nights Location: Joplin, MO Benefits: Full benefits package About the Role This role supports plant operations by maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration systems in a manufacturing environment. The Refrigeration Technician focuses on preventative maintenance, system troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance. Job Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems Monitor system performance using gauges, instruments, and testing procedures Diagnose issues, dismantle equipment, and complete repairs or installations Accurately document all maintenance activities and completed work Communicate equipment issues or production risks to operations and leadership Assist with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime Support parts and supplies inventory by reporting low stock levels Anticipate parts needs and follow proper purchasing procedures Maintain compliance with safety, GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with state and federal regulations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Trade or technical school training preferred 2-4 years of ammonia refrigeration experience, preferably in manufacturing Ability to work independently and assist with complex repairs Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude Ability to use common maintenance tools and basic computer systems Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment English proficiency required
