Description Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized testing and observation. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to build unified care approaches. Educate patients and their families about strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the treatment continuum. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in continuing education and professional collaboration to stay informed of advancements in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently certified by ASHA. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices across all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and collaborative care teams. Ability to modify therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
