CNC Programmer, Set-up, Machinist

Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for a CNC Programmer position with a company in Erie, PA. This is a 1st shift position with a pay range of $27-31/hour. CNC Programmer (working programmer) Shift: 6am-2:30pm Monday through Friday Pay Range: $27-31/hour Candidate must pass a drug screen and be open to a criminal background check Summary This position provides programming and machining expertise in support of customer requests. Position requires programming, set-up and operation of machinery for the production of parts. Work assignments are varied and of the highest level of scope and complexity. Duties Include... Set-up, operate and program CNC machines inlcuding zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offets, compensation and controlled switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry; providing parts programs. Read blueprints and other schematics to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and set-up requirments. Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes and grinders. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed and depth and angle cut pr enter commmands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control data. Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements. Stop machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, set-up, or work piece placement according to required machine sequnces. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure equipment and tools are in good working order and available when required. Maintain safe operation according to safety guidelines. Participate in continuing education. Perform all other duties as assigned. MBS1
