Our client, a global leader in industrial automation and sensing technologies , is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 to join their team. As a Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 , you will be part of the Sensing & Safety Hardware Engineering Department , supporting safety product teams and sustaining engineering teams . The ideal candidate will have strong analytical problem-solving skills , good engineering judgment , and effective cross-functional communication , which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Senior Hardware Development EngineerLocation: 2 Executive Dr, Chelmsford, MA 01824Pay Range: $57.10 per hourContract: 6 monthsWhat's the Job? Contribute to the sustainment of existing sensing and safety product lines , leveraging expertise in analog and digital circuitry. Execute product redesigns , cost-reduction improvements, and safety standards testing to support product qualification. Support, test, and redesign safety and sensing hardware across diverse engineering tasks. Maintain technical requirements, validate devices electrically and functionally, and perform engineering tests for design and production. Collaborate with senior internal and external experts, applying sound engineering judgment to select methods and techniques. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products for industrial, consumer, or medical applications. Proficiency in Creo / Pro Engineer , GD&T, and design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA/DFSS). Strong knowledge of injection molding, die-cast tooling, thermoplastics , and modern machining/rapid prototyping methods.
