Die Setter/Press OperatorPOSITION OVERVIEW: Our manufacturing plant is seeking a dependable and precise Die Setter. In this role, you will set up stamping die and run production without assistant. Full job description Seeking an experienced Auto Power Press Setup / Operator to perform activities related to the set-up and operation of progressive, compound, and secondary stamping dies. 3-5 years' experience with the following are required: Completes die set-ups for production in accordance with Work Order. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Operates all standard press room machinery and production support equipment. Works with toolmakers to troubleshoot stamping problems related to slug pulling, misdeeds, scrap build up and segregation, part ejection, and product dimensional nonconformance. • Ability to trouble shoot during setup. • Perform 1st Piece and in process inspections during production. • Perform routine Die & machine maintenance • Help with generation of work instructions when required • Strong mechanical skills. • Degrease stamp parts. • Count parts daily after production and during inventory. • Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand on feet for most of the time. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of vocational training strongly preferred • Minimum of 5 years' previous experience as Die Setter. • Ability to read blueprints. • Ability to use and interpret inspection equipment including precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) • Ability to trouble shoot Press Machine. • Organized with the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to change • Good math skills • Good interpersonal and leadership skills • Analytical thinking/problem solving • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills • Must be a US Citizen.
