Job Summary: The Environmental Health & Safety Officer ensures a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment across company facilities. This role supports the Director of Corporate Services in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs and standards in accordance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities: dminister fire safety, health, and environmental programs across multiple facilities. Conduct routine inspections, tests, and maintain safety records ensuring OSHA compliance. Develop, implement, and update safety and risk management policies and procedures. Manage work order requests related to safety, risk, and facilities, ensuring timely resolution. Serve as liaison between employees, contractors, and vendors to resolve safety issues. Participate in emergency preparedness, crisis management, and safety communications teams. ssist in applying for required environmental permits and maintaining compliance documentation. Investigate and correct safety hazards or OSHA violations; coordinate corrective actions. Develop and conduct safety training programs; update course materials on the LMS. ssist in planning and implementing monthly safety topics and initiatives. Compile weekly corporate service reports and maintain digital filing systems via SharePoint. Monitor and report incidents, occupational exposure, and hazardous chemical use. Educate employees on safety regulations, procedures, and proper equipment use. Track safety metrics, prepare reports, and coordinate with HR on incident trends. Maintain vendor relationships and act as primary contact for facility-related services. Monitor supply usage, inventory, and procure standard safety and facility items. Update facility space allotments and share reports with finance. Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, state, and local safety regulations. Build relationships with key external stakeholders such as regulators and safety organizations. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED plus 20+ years of experience, or: ssociate's degree plus 14 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of experience, or Master's degree plus 10 years of experience. Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental health and safety regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Deltek. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities. bility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective training and presentation skills. bility to interpret building plans and coordinate facility-related safety issues. Physical Requirements: Frequent walking and standing across facilities. bility to bend, lift up to 40 lbs, stretch, climb, and crawl during inspections. Must be able to work at heights using ladders for safety inspections. Work Environment: Hybrid schedule with required on-site visits to multiple locations. Fast-paced setting requiring attention to detail and compliance awareness. Education and Experience: Education: High school diploma or higher (technical or safety-related degree preferred). Experience: 10-20+ years in environmental health and safety, risk management, or facilities management.
