A specialized opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with ICU experience focused on neurosurgical and neurological intensive care. This contract role is based in Greenwood, IN, offering a chance to work in a dynamic clinical environment with advanced patient care technologies. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for neuro ICU patients including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors. Perform thorough neurological and hemodynamic assessments. Manage care for mechanically ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients. Utilize specialized equipment such as Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer. Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR. Float to other inpatient units as required based on census fluctuations. Qualifications and Experience: Current RN licensure with minimum 2 years of neuro ICU experience. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Demonstrated skills in care of complex neuro patients, including mechanical ventilation and neurological monitoring. Preferred experience with pupillometer use, EVD and ICP waveform management, CRRT, and Epic EMR proficiency. Strong teamwork, flexibility, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential. Schedule and Work Environment: Day shift with a commitment of 36 hours weekly. Every other weekend coverage required. Patient-to-nurse ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 in a 30-bed Neuro Critical Care unit. Scrub color: Navy. Hoodies are not permitted in clinical areas.
