Job DescriptionJob Title: Painter Location: Owatonna, MN Compensation: $20.25 per hour - paid weekly Schedule: Monday - Thursday7:00am-3:30pm Job Type: Direct HireAbout the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Painters for a leading industrial equipment supplier located in Owatonna, MN. Read below for more information!What You'll Do as a Painter: Determine the appropriate coating and method per manufacturing standards and customer specifications for the intended use and environment of the unit Apply surface finishes to product per manufacturing standards and customer specifications Prepare surfaces by removing debris, sanding, or other appropriate methods Apply paint or other surface treatment to metal or other surfaces utilizing brush, roller, spray gun, or other appropriate method Develop and maintain regulatory documentation as appropriate and as required Seek and perpetuate ethical material handling, storage, and disposal practices Avoid and correct unsafe practices or conditions Make calculations and recommendations as to finishing material requirements Read drawings and project specifications, and interpret dimensioning and finish details Calculate surface area to be finished and coverage expectations Determine finish material purchase and inventory requirements based on planned consumption Provide details regarding material needs to the Materials Control Team for procurement What You Need to Bring to the Painter Role: High school or equivalent 2 years of experience in automotive or industrial painting including experience with HVLP (high volume low pressure) systems Familiarity in using standard safety equipment in the industrial paint environment Must have respirator training and experience Perform mathematical calculations involving multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction of dimensions represented decimally or in fractions Organizational skills and documentation/record keeping abilities Understand health, safety, and environmental codes and regulations at local, state, and federal levels Ready to Apply?
