Description The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is searching for a full-time Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Co-Director, Transplant Institute. Clinical responsibilities, including general hepatology and liver transplant service, will be based at the University of Chicago's main campus, with consultative services also provided at one or more sites in the Chicago area. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be BC/BE in gastroenterology, and 4) have advanced training in transplant hepatology (or equivalent experience).
