Job Description The Quality Auditor conducts Out of Box Audits and inspections on completed units for defects, quality and non-conformities. This position will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL. Responsibilities Performs quality audits per the applicable standards. Performs process audits per the applicable standards. Performs production heater line quality checks. Performs incoming inspections. Works with production Working Leads and Supervisors to ensure product quality. Provides real time communication back to the heater lines to ensure conformity to product quality. Quality/production record data collection, storage and retention. Assists engineers with determining conformity to product quality of new and revised product. Practices and supports Rheem values with internal was well as external customers. May be exposed to high noise levels and almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, smoke and extreme temperatures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED. Must have minimum 1-2 years of experience working with conformity to product quality. Experience working with basic measurement equipment (i.e. tape measure, torque wrench, multi-meter). Experience working with forms and checklists. Preferred experience/background includes experience reading engineering drawings and experience with Reliance. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in data entry, knowledge of DAS, Oracle and Bills of Materials; Internet software; and proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Alabama Driver License. There will considerable physical activity, continuous lifting of up to 100 lbs. with assisting equipment. Requirement of unpacking and packing of product of variable height and width. Requires ability to work in awkward and unsupported body positions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
