Maximum Quality Foods, Inc.Job DescriptionJob Title: CDL Truck Driver FLSA/Grade: Non-Exempt/Hourly Reports to: Transportation Manager Department: Transportation Maximum Quality Foods, Inc. is an independent foodservice distributor located in Linden, NJ. Position Summary: The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for driving a truck or automobile over an established route to deliver and pick-up products/merchandise, assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities, and collect money from customers by performing the following duties. The position of CDL Truck Driver is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week. The CDL Truck Driver shall be accountable and supervised by the Transportation Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Load and unload products/merchandise by hand or using a hand truck. Operate company vehicles in a professional, safe, and courteous manner, following all applicable state, local, DOT, and Hours of Service regulations. Complete assigned deliveries safely and efficiently, ensuring all tasks are finished before the end of the shift. Ensure all routes and duties are completed to company standards prior to leaving for the day. Pick up products/merchandise from various vendors in a timely manner. Deliver products/merchandise to various customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy according to customer requests. Maintain delivery vehicles in clean and good working condition. Perform daily maintenance checks and report any malfunctions to transportation management. Relay customer messages/communications to the appropriate management personnel. Return credit products/merchandise with proper paperwork and inform management of deliveries. Assist in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times. Report overstock or inventory issues to transportation management immediately. Provide customers with copies of signed invoices/credit forms for all products/merchandise delivered and/or picked up. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with particular attention to health and safety regulations. Stack and secure items properly on the truck to prevent damage during shipment. Drive and deliver customer orders to meet scheduled delivery times and maintain productivity standards. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Proficiency Requirements: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
