The Position Facilities management intern works with the Director of Facilities and Safety and will learn about the many facets of maintaining and improving a Museum building, historic structures, equipment, and grounds on a 36-acre campus. Requirements Project opportunities include: Organize historical facility and equipment records from building plans through current capital improvements. Create tracking and checklists for maintenance activities in the Building Management System. Assist Director of Facilities and Safety with hands on projects as well as scheduling contractors and project planning. Qualifications Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter. Demonstrated interest in facilities management, property management, construction management, engineering, architecture, sustainability, or related fields. Interest in historic building stewardship and museum operations preferred Comfortable working with technology, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), shared drives, and digital tracking systems. Comfortable working both in an office setting and outdoors across a 36-acre campus. Ability to lift up to 30-40 pounds and move throughout campus buildings as needed.
