Property AccountantLocation: Remote (U.S.-based) Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE Why This Opportunity Stands Out for a Property Accountant: Join a growing property management company focused on Class A multifamily communities across high-growth U.S. markets Fully remote role offering flexibility while working with a collaborative, experienced accounting and investment team Opportunity to support a diverse, growing multifamily portfolio and gain exposure to asset management and leadership Stable organization with long-term ownership philosophy and strong operational infrastructure High-impact role with visibility across property operations, finance, and leadership Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant: The Property Accountant will prepare and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of multifamily properties Perform full monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid and fixed asset accounting, and general ledger maintenance Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and supporting schedules Complete variance analysis versus budget and prior periods with clear, concise commentary The Property Accountant will manage property-level accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Monitor cash activity and assist with cash flow reporting Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Prepare audit schedules and support external audits as needed Partner with property management and asset management teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in a remote accounting environment Qualifications for the Property Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of accounting experience; property or real estate accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting concepts Experience with property management/accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar preferred) Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills across teams and time zones #INJAN2026 #LI-KH1 #LI-REMOTE EB-4735545758
