The Florida Sales Manager for Product Support will lead a team of +/- 12 Product Support Representatives (PSR), driving the sales and service of heavy equipment product support solutions. This role is responsible for developing, leading and engaging strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, increase revenue, and ensure the team delivers exceptional after-sales support for heavy equipment products. The Sales Manager will oversee the team's performance, foster client relationships, and collaborate with other departments to align product support with company objectives. Reports to: LA McDonald, GM Product Support RepresentativesKey Responsibilities -Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of 12 Product Support Representatives to meet or exceed sales and service targets. -Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to promote product support services for heavy equipment, including maintenance contracts, spare parts, and technical support. -Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business. -Performance Monitoring: Track team and individual performance metrics, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations. -Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell product support services to existing and prospective clients. -Collaboration: Work closely with the service, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of product support services. -Training and Development: Facilitate training programs to enhance the technical and sales skills of Product Support Representatives. -Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge. -Budget Management: Oversee the area product support sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while achieving revenue goals. -Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Qualifications -Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A degree in Engineering or a related technical field is a plus. -Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product support, sales management, (preferably in the heavy equipment), construction, or industrial sectors, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. -Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience managing at least 8 - 10 direct reports. -Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of heavy equipment product support, including maintenance, parts, and technical services. -Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth. -Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders. -Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., CRM Heavy Equipment Series), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. -Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer and team challenges effectively. -Travel Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support the team (approximately 40-50% of the time). Preferred Skills -Experience in the heavy equipment industry, particularly with brands such as Komatsu. -Knowledge of aftermarket product support services, including warranties, service contracts, and parts distribution. -Ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable insights to improve performance.
