Job Full Description Welding Technician - Robotic Welding Specialist $22/Hour + Shift Premium | 2nd Shift Position About This Welding Technician Role Are you an experienced welder looking to advance your career in robotic welding technology? We're seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. What You'll Do as Our Welding Technician Primary Responsibilities: Set up, program, and troubleshoot robotic arc welding and spot welding systems Train and mentor production associates on welding processes and safety procedures Operate and maintain industrial welding equipment including Yaskawa and Fanuc robots Perform quality control inspections and maintain production documentation Coordinate with supervisors on production scheduling and preventative maintenance Troubleshoot PLC systems and perform minor electrical repairs Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize welding processes Technical Duties: Program welding fixtures and adjust robot parameters Change welding consumables (gas, wire, tips) and replace hardware components Evaluate and repair welding fixtures as needed Monitor weld quality and report defects to Quality department Maintain organized schedules and production records Welding Technician Requirements Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Manufacturing experience required Arc welding and/or spot welding experience Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills Computer literacy for data entry and system operation Steel-toed boots and safety glasses (required PPE) Preferred Experience: Robotic welding experience (Yaskawa, Fanuc, or similar systems) PLC troubleshooting experience Welding certification or technical training Leadership or training experience Physical Requirements & Work Environment This welding technician position requires: 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly during 10-hour shifts Extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Normal vision, hearing, and speech for safety and communication Work performed in climate-controlled shop environment Springfield, OH 3158 2200 North Limestone Street Suite 116 Springfield, OH 45503
