Job Description Works with infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) to support their development through play and daily routines. ResponsibilitiesEvaluating motor, cognitive, and sensory skills, developing an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), providing direct therapy in natural settings, and educating families on strategies to promote their child's engagement and function. Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and the multidisciplinary EI team. Maintain accurate and timely records, including evaluations, assessment data, progress notes, and other documentation required by regulatory and professional standards. QualificationsRequires a Master's Degree, an active NJ OT license, and one year of documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as they apply to the profession of Occupational Therapy and adheres to same. Graduate of Accredited Occupational Therapy Program, Current NJ State License in Occupational Therapy. BLS certification within first 3 months of hire. Must have Modalities Certification within the first 12 months of hire. For EIP employees only: a valid driver's license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle. Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
