Recreation Therapist Per Diem

Recreation TherapistJob Description: Responsible for planning and conducting group and individual recreation programs as assigned by the Director of Recreation Responsible for documenting program attendance and participation Facilitate independent activities for residents Assist residents to and from recreation programs All other tasks as assigned by the Director of Recreation Work as part of the care plan team in determining therapeutic objectives and goals. Create patient specific care plans Other duties as required Qualifications/Requirements: Must have Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field Minimum of 2 years working in healthcare setting with related populations Two years' experience in a social or recreational program providing and coordinating services Must be available for full time (37.5) hours between two locations, Middle Island & Central Islip Working knowledge of physical, psycosocial and behavioral needs of population Excellent oral and written communication skills An Equal Opportunity Employer
