Job Summary Under the direction of the High School Principal, the Deputy Principal assumes the role of the principal in his/her absence; coordinates daily school activities; assists in the oversight of instructional programs and services; optimizes conditions of learning that lead to improvement in student achievement for all students; supervises and evaluates staff as assigned; coordinates and administrates student discipline in accordance with policies; implements high standards for student and staff conduct to promote a safe learning and working environment; promotes a school climate and culture that is inclusive and engages students, staff, parents, and community members; and actively engages in the supervision of co- and extra-curricular activities.
