Job Summary This position fabricates floor planks for the grain bin product. It is to provide a professional looking product with all specifications met. Essential Functions Job requires 10-hour shifts and scheduled weekends at times to meet business needs. Perform setup and operation of oak 200 ton automatic punch press Perform set up and operation ofrollformer (by adjusting entrance rollers, stand depth, etc.) Perform set up and operation of cropper press (flying cutoff die) Ability to use a variety of hand tools (saw saw, air bander, breaker bar, etc.) Ability to peiform some preventative maintenance ( grease press, rollformer, cropper posts, and check oil levels, etc.) Good quality awareness during setup and operation (board width, flatness, size of foot & toe, snap, etc.) Ability to use a caliper, tape measure, feeler gauge, micrometer, depth gauge, setup gauges) Ability to load computer program for various floor sizes Ability to use JDE to run dispatch reports and enter production Must maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment, which includes outside storage of floor bundles Must be able to operate forklift, overhead crane, Sellick tractor in regards to material handling Must be able to work in other production areas if needed Must be able to peiform all physical requirements Minimum Required Qualifications Education: High school degree, GED, or equivalent work experience Experience: Candidate must possess the following: Prior factory/ rollforming experience preferred but not required: This position requires a strong focus on safety. Ability to read, write, and do basic math in English Ability to read basic print facts and follow production orders Ability to work in a team environment and able to train others as needed Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instruction Forklift/Overhead Crane/ Sellick license required Working conditions Seasonal temperature conditions in the plant vary - summers are hot and humid in the building and winters are cold when working near open overhead doors. PPE required (such as long pants, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat) Loud and dusty environment. Parts have sharp edges and oil Working around fork trucks and other moving equipment Willingness to move finished product to storage in inclement weather Physical requirements Ability to lift 35-50 lbs. frequently and up to 60 lbs. occasionally Ability to work in a loud environment Frequent bending and twisting Ability to manipulate very heavy (up to 300 lbs.) floor planks on a frequent basis Ability to slide very heavy dies (up to 3000 lbs.) into Oak Press on an occasional basis Occasional kneeling Constant grasping, standing, walking Why Peoplelink Staffing?
