Electrician

The Electrician perform electrical duties in and around the buildings to repair, maintain and install high/low voltage electrical systems. They will have extensive knowledge and experience with the construction or retrofit of electrical systems in commercial buildings or other structures. Job Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for installing low and high voltage wiring, control equipment, building control panels and other electrical services as needed. Read and decipher schematic diagrams. Read blueprints. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations. Work closely with apprentices, guiding them through processes from start to finish. Basic Qualifications:CT E1 or E2 License Valid CT Drivers License OSHA 10 or 30 Certificate Knowledge of HVAC systems. Must clearly communicate in verbal and written form. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings. Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively with others. Physical Demands Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Work Environment This job operates primarily alone and travels to different work sites each day. May work in tight spaces, typically indoors, but may work outside in poor weather conditions. vehicles are used as the base of operations.
