Reporting to the Respiratory Care Manager/Director, the Registered Respiratory Therapist Supervisor on nights provides clinical and technical leadership for shift operations, including real-time auditing and rounding for policy adherence, staff coaching and counseling, coordination of annual and midyear competencies with the department educator, and prompt service recovery to optimize patient and family experience; the role also performs advanced therapeutic procedures across the lifespan when needed, ensures equipment readiness and proper processing, oversees nitrous oxide/oxygen/nitrogen manifold checks and cylinder changes each shift, aligns staffing to patient acuity across all units, monitors end-of-shift reporting to reduce incidental overtime, and supports compliance with fire, safety, state, and accreditation standards.
