Join the Crew: 2026 Lifeguard Positions at Wet'N'Wild!Opening Day: May 2, 2026 Training Locations: Wet'N'Wild (Anthony, TX) & YWCA (1600 Brown St., El Paso) Are you looking for an exciting summer job where you can gain life-saving skills and work outdoors? Wet'N'Wild Water World is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and alert individuals to join our 2026 Lifeguard Squad! The Three Steps to Becoming a LifeguardStep 1: Mandatory Water Pre-Screening All candidates must pass a physical pre-screening before attending training. This takes approximately 30 minutes (though there is no time limit). You will also complete an online manual review and a quick test at your convenience. Requirements: 200-yard continuous swim and a 10lb brick retrieval from 8-13 feet deep. Available Dates (No other dates will be added): March 7: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM March 14: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM March 21: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM March 28: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM March 29: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM April 11: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM April 12: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Step 2: Certification Training Blocks Candidates must attend all 3 days of a training block to become certified. March 20-22: Returning Guards Only March 27-29: Open to All April 10-12: Open to All April 17-19: Open to All If conflicts arise, contact the recruiter who scheduled your session immediately. Step 3: Age & Start Dates Train at 15: You are eligible to attend pre-season training and orientation if you are 15 years old. Work at 16: You cannot work your first shift until your 16th birthday. (e.g., If you turn 16 on May 30th, you can train in April and begin working on May 30th). Investment & Perks Certification: We provide full Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR training. Costs: A $40 deposit is due on the final day of training. The remaining balance is paid through small payroll deductions throughout the summer.
