Design individualized treatment strategies that effectively address immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions with a focus on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to implement comprehensive care plans. Provide education and resources for patients and families to reinforce therapeutic progress beyond the clinical environment. Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring ongoing support throughout the continuum of care. Maintain thorough and punctual documentation in compliance with state regulations and company standards. Engage in professional development through continued education and interactions with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification. Certifications Appropriate state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of commencing employment.
