FLSA Status: Exempt – ExecutiveJob Mission: Assure OLHSA is positioned to assist community members in addressing social determinants of health and nutrition needs. Assist in the management of Health Integrated Services and Nutrition Services by helping oversee all aspects of program operations, team supervision, implementation, marketing and monitoring of programs related to community health and nutrition. Further, Manager- Community Health is responsible for using his/her independent judgment and discretion with regarding to marketing of the programs, monitoring of the problems, dispute resolution of programs, and team supervision. Performance Standards: Oversee the management of Oakland County community health programs, including, Health Integrated Services Care Coordination, The Emergency Food Assistance Program and Summer Food Service Program (TEFAP & SFSP), transportation, and clinic based operations. Assure that reporting, compliance, and budget requirements of various funding sources and partners are fulfilled. Provide leadership and advocacy to initiate system change which improve programs and meet community needs. Collaborate with community partners to effectively coordinate services and address gaps. Lead efforts to coordinate with medical partners to integrate OLHSA’s services into behavioral and medical health care settings. Secure grants and contributions to support nutrition and community health. Supervise assigned staff of two or more people. The Manager for Community Health shall have hiring, firing, and disciplining responsibilities in concert with the Assistant Director for Health, Housing, and Nutrition. Carry out all other duties as directed by supervisor. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in related field required i.e. Human Service, Public Health, Nutrition, Social Work; or a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing direct services and/or program leadership in HIV care, public health, nutrition, or related social service fields. Two (2) or more years’ experience in management: including recruitment, selection, supervision, retention and training required. Three years preferred. Two (2) or more years’ experience working with low income, people living with HIV, and diverse populations preferred. Two (2) or more years’ experience in federal, state or private foundation grant writing preferred. Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license. Reliable transportation required. Physical Job Description: Job requirements in an 8 hour workday: Sit: 4 hours- this position varies daily w/writing report/grants; going to meetings Stand: 2 hours- picking up of supplies; site food pick up Walk: 1 hour- interaction w/staff, walking to meetings on multiple floors, areas Bend/Stoop: 1 hour- picking up materials for meeting, reports, loading/unloading food from pallets. Movements: Yes: Reach above-reaching for books/binders/supplies/files/food; Crouch- low files, to pull food off pallets; Squat- to pull food off pallets/shelves; Climb- stairs; Shoulder Level- reaching for books/binders/supplies/files, pull or load food on/off pallets/shelves; Kneel- for materials; Pushing- pushing carts w/ supplies and food.
