Pulse Oximetry Coordinator As a supplement to referral coordinator functions, this position also performs pulse oximetry set-up and follow-up along with a variety of respiratory related follow-up tasks. Essential functions include: Contacting patients requiring pulse oximetry to introduce DASCO and the pulse ox process. Setting pulse ox machine for new use; shipping to patient and tracking delivery. Loading order into system in an accurately and timely manner. Downloading test results and sending to doctor. Cleaning returned machines and changing batteries. Scheduling patients with local branch healthcare professional for Medicaid requalification. If patient or doctor requests discontinuance of oxygen, requesting script and following up for testing to confirm oxygen services are no longer needed. Competencies include: Customer service/client focus Detail-oriented Flexibility Results driven Stress management Position type/expected hours of work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Supervisory responsibility: This position has no supervisory role. Work environment: This job operates primarily in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a tactile role, routinely handling respiratory testing equipment. Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is typically required to sit; occasionally required to stand, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel: Travel is not typically required for this position.
