Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Machinist/Welder who will be responsible for the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with little supervision and be proficient in TIG welding Summary Machinist / Welder is an intermediate level position with the experience necessary to be proficient in the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with little supervision and proficient in TIG welding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Machining Set-up Manual and Lathes and Mills Operate machines Inspect parts with measuring instruments and makes machine offsets Maintain current set-up documentation Instruct less skilled operators Perform finishing work such as deburring, parts washing, etc. Perform TIG welding Maintain a clean and safe workplace Other duties assigned, as needed Requirements Education/Qualifications Requires education generally equivalent to an associate degree in Machining with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with general machine shop equipment and welding; or a combination of relevant education and experience. Required Skills Proficient using general measuring instruments and some speed and feed calculations Ability to efficiently and successfully perform basic machine setups Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
