About the Role(job title and summary): The Cultivation Technician is a union position and is responsible for contributing to all or most aspects of plant production including propagation, watering, pruning, trellising, defoliating, monitoring, and harvesting of plants and associated tasks delegated by management. How youll make a difference(required duties and responsibilities): Essential Functions and Responsibilities Monitor and maintain plant healthDaily and routine plant maintenance tasksMaintain environmental conditions for optimal plant growthSanitation and cleaning of all cultivation spacesAll other activities related to plant production from propagation through harvestEnsures all instrumentations/equipment is calibrated and functioning properly by performing regular preventative maintenance.Timely contact the manager or lead tech when instruments/equipment is found to be in need of maintenance/repair.Ability to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime as determined by process demandsPunctuality Must arrive on time for each shift and take breaks/ lunch as scheduledMay help in other departments as needed/Other duties as assigned Administrative Duties: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilityAbility to prioritize tasksAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteMeticulous organizational skills and attention to detailInterpret and follow complex, written, verbal and technical instructionsMust be able to adhere to company SOPsLearn complex technical procedures in a timely mannerInterpret and follow complex, written, verbal and technical instructionsMust be able to adhere to facility SOPsLearn complex technical procedures in a timely manner Qualifications: Education and Experience Must be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus and attention to detail.Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues.
