General Clerk II Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a General Clerk II to support our prospective client within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Regional Office (SERO). NOAA NMFS SERO is located in St. Petersburg, FL, and this position is to be performed onsite full-time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Data Entry. The Contractor shall: Perform basic computer data entry, analysis, and maintenance of databases. Prepare materials such as handouts and slides for scientific meetings and presentations. Prepare documents for final clearance and signature. This includes editing documents for grammar, spelling, alignment, etc. Enter data into databases, proof data sheets and reports, proof/verify data entry and correct errors, and file data sheets. Copy, scan, and file survey forms. Contact and be contacted by permit or other constituents to clarify survey information, as needed. Assist with processing scientific reports that include tables, graphs, charts, or multiple columns using different word processing and spreadsheet packages. Assist with answering incoming phone calls and routing, as necessary. Work independently or with others to complete tasks and resolve problems. Mail. The contractor shall: Check the mailroom daily (on business days) for outgoing mail to be metered. Meter outgoing mail as needed. Receive all incoming mail packages and distribute them to SERO Offices within one business day of receipt. Sort and review each mail piece and return to the sender, if any mail does not belong to NOAA personnel within one business days of receipt. Sign and receive packages from UPS, FEDEX, USPS and/or other carriers, as needed Assist with troubleshooting mail postage meter to include calling in for technical repair. Meeting Facilitation Services. The Contractor shall: Provide facilitation and coordination support for SERO Administrative Meetings in order to accomplish office administrative goals and responsibilities. The work involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and facilitating meetings. Prepare documents, assist with handouts and logistics for meetings, and record minutes for meetings hosted by SERO Divisions. Job Requirements and Experience Minimum education requirement is to have a high school diploma. Familiar with using Microsoft software, Laserfiche or similar scanning software, data entry, and compliance for NOAA's ECO system, and various other NOAA systems. Experienced in answering incoming calls, retrieving mail, processing mass mail-outs, and scanning documents. Excellent in oral/written communication. Ability to utilize NOAA specific software applications or equipment. ADA Requirements Operate a PC and phone in an office environment. Work in a primarily sedentary position. Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required. Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.
